As Jewish communities across North America rally to support our brothers and sisters in Israel during one of the country’s darkest moments, the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ) has joined the united front to raise $2 million locally to help Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) reach its $500 million campaign goal.Funds will be allocated as needed to urgent humanitarian needs, such as medical supplies and equipment, housing, and longer-term rebuilding of homes and infrastructure, rehabilitation and trauma counseling.JFSNJ is deeply appreciative of the generosity in matching funds: $180,000 from the Saltzman Foundation; $150,000 from Stan and Ros Middleman and Family; $80,000 from the Gottlieb Family; $75,000 from Stanley and Joanna and Scott and Olga Lerner and Family; and $50,000 from Rick and Donna Forman and Family.
JFSNJ is also grateful to the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc., which has announced that for all donations made to this cause through JCF-held donor advised funds (DAFs), JCF will match up to $50,000 through November 30, 2023.
100% of all funds raised will go directly to the Israel Emergency Campaign.
We have also begun fundraising for our 2024 JFund Annual Campaign, which supports critical programs and services across our five Areas of Impact, Older Adults, Special Needs, Global Connections, Community Engagement, and Family & Youth. Your support of JFund will continue to sustain the important programs and services here in our community. Please consider committing to your gift today.
